New Year Greetings

Glory to God

Greetings to you in the marvelous name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. One more year has gone and we have entered into a new year. In the year 2019 God was good to us and he has done marvelous things to us. You may think what is the marvelous things he has done in my life? Ps116: 8 says that "for you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling". Is this not a marvelous thing? Let us not forget all his benefits.(Ps 102: 3). We do not know what blessings are reserved for us in this New year! In 2019 there were many ups and downs in our lives. But the Lord was good to us in all the circumstances. He was a very present help in times of trouble. 'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken' says the Lord. The Lord is always compassionate to us and His love is unfailing towards us.

In the previous years there were many failures in our life, so let us correct ourselves and lead a new life. There are both failure and success in one's life. We have to learn new lesson from our failure and correct ourselves. Failures in one's life is always a stepping stone to success. In Heb 4:16 it is written 'Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help is in our time if need'. Therefore let us come to the throne of grace with confidence.

In this new year let us cast all our burdens on Lord Jesus Christ because he cares for us. Also because he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Due to heavy clouds sometimes we are not able to see sun's rays, but after some time we are able to see the sun clearly through that cloud. When darkness comes in our life, do not think that the Lord is not seeing or caring for us. Instead know that the darkness is not permanent; it will soon disappear and we will see the glory of God in our life if we look to him for help.

In Ps 34:5 it is written 'Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame'. Moses was with the Lord for 40 days and 40 nights. When he came down with the 10 commandments, his face was radiant and the people of Israel we not able to look at him. Why was his face radiant? Because he was with the Lord for 40 days and nights talking to the lord. If we live in relationship with the Lord, our faces too will shine and we will never be ashamed in our life. In this New year, let us look to the Lord for everything for He is able to fulfill all our needs.

To all the readers and well-wishers we, The Rehoboth India Mission wishes you and your family a prosperous and blessed New year 2020. May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you,and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

Amen!
